The new Captain Marvel trailer reveals some important points about Carol Danvers' MCU origins! Subscribe to our channel:
It's already fairly widely known that next year's Captain Marvel movie won't be an origin story – in spite of the fact that it will be take us back to the 1990s in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
That being said, contrary to what some people might have thought, it will in fact depict the incident that gave Carol Danvers her powers all those years ago – and it was hidden in plain sight in the movie's recent trailer.
We'll be telling you all about it in this video – and you won't want to miss it!
The explosion in questions happens at 1 minute and 37 seconds, with Danvers being blasted backwards by it (a scene that it shown earlier in the trailer, given that it doesn't depict events in the order in which they'll happen in the actual movie next year).
The trailer also appears to show Carol Danvers being experimented on – possibly by the Brood, like she was in the comics – which may suggest she'll be transforming into her Binary form from the source material (in fact, it actually looks as though her Binary form is shown at the end of the trailer as well, when Danvers is surrounded by orange energy).
