After months of speculation and anticipation about it, comic book movie fans recently got their first good look at next year's Captain Marvel movie, starring Oscar winner Brie Larson, courtesy of popular magazine Entertainment Weekly publishing some exciting details – including, most prominently, a series of images – from the exciting Marvel Cinematic Universe project.

In this video, we'll be taking a look at some of the best reveals from the intriguing EW feature.

The reveals in question are; the iconic red and blue Captain Marvel costume from the comic books, the antagonistic shape-shifting green aliens known as the Skrulls, Jude Law's Mar-Vell character, the returning Lee Pace as Ronan in a previously unseen costume, the returning Djimon Hounsou as Korath in a previously unseen costume, the elite Kree special ops team known as Starforce (of which Captain Marvel appears to be the leader), Lashana Lynch's Maria "Photon" Rambeau character, the titular Carol Danvers in her typically 1990s clothing (which is when the movie is set), the fact that Captain Marvel will be a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. (which her S.H.I.E.L.D. baseball cap appears to reveal), and the digitally de-aged Samuel L. Jackson as the younger version of popular MCU character Nick Fury (complete with both of his eyes!).
